Land management has been undertaken in the township of Hahndorf to remove hazardous vegetation, posing bushfire risk and blocking essential drain systems.
Complete removal and disposal of 17km of damaged boundary fence and strategic clearance of vegetation to prepare for the installation of brand-new fencing was carried out at the Scott Creek Conservation Park.
A gorse control program was undertaken across two properties north of the Cudlee Creek fire scar. The Hills and Fleurieu Landscape Board came on board to control this noxious weed and to reduce the great fire risk to the town of Birdwood.
Provided land clearing and the construction of firebreaks around the Alexandrina Council property boundary at Mount Compass.
