Construction of strategic fire access tracks for CFS appliances and escape routes to clear ground.
Construction of these tracks allows for safe passage of firefighting vehicles while undertaking fire suppression activities. The are designed and maintained to permit access by 4WD fire vehicles.
These tracks are strategically placed in order to:
- Allow 4WD sized fire vehicles access
- Incorporate fuel breaks
- Be positioned where native vegetation has already been managed
- Be connective and complementary to other fire access tracks constructed in the area
- Be facilitative to bushfire prevention advice and plans outlined in the area
